PicPare — Support & Privacy

Photo access

PicPare needs Photos access to show and review your library. Full access works best; Limited Access is supported. Change access in Settings → Apps → PicPare → Photos. If no photos appear, confirm that at least one item is available to PicPare.

Similar Shots

Open the Similar Shots pack to compare a group at full size. Swipe between candidates, reject weaker photos one at a time, restore a rejection if needed, or choose your best photo. A suggested keeper is only a starting point and never causes automatic deletion.

Analysis progress

PicPare analyzes photos on your iPhone and shows progress while it builds smart packs. Large or iCloud-optimized libraries can take longer, especially when originals need to download. Keep PicPare open and your iPhone connected to power for the fastest first analysis.

Trash and deletion

The red X places an item in PicPare’s tray. Open the tray to restore items or choose Empty Trash. iOS then displays a system confirmation. Deleted photos remain in the Photos app’s Recently Deleted album until Apple removes them or you delete them there.

Favorites and albums

PicPare protects Favorites and photos already organized into albums. Protected items remain safe unless you explicitly override the protection in the review flow.

Video compression

On supported iOS versions, PicPare can create a smaller local video copy. The original is moved to PicPare’s tray only after the new copy is saved successfully, giving you a chance to review before deletion.

Still stuck?

Email the developer with your iPhone model, iOS version, and the screen where the problem occurred. Do not attach private photos unless they are necessary and you are comfortable sharing them.
